AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY: Suburban

Oftentimes the suburban landscape will also fall within my “patterns and gems” category as repeating patterns emerge. Downtown residential areas will often form a grid pattern. Land on the outskirts in newer areas can be developed like a maze. Yet other areas take on much more interesting patterns. One thing we’ve noted over the years is the ever-growing expansion of our cities. It is difficult to see prime agricultural land razed to make room for more and more “ticky-tacky” houses. When do we draw the line and strike some balance?
