BLACK & WHITE: Nature

I love the stark contrasts in black and white photography, without the distraction of colour. I love how graphic the subject can become. I can get lost for hours hunting the smallest things in the natural world around me, photographing up close as I seek out the smallest of details. I also find some of the best photography happens in the most inclement weather. I’ll be out there in snowstorms, ice storms, rain and the fog or a frigid -30C day in the Cessna. Those are the best of days for photography and this is what I call my “winter sport”.
