I have always been intrigued by the goings-on of industry. Living in Burlington during my high school years I’d look across the bay, fascinated by what I saw. That scene was often the subject of my artworks while in school. Now as we fly over this area in the Cessna 172, I am captivated by much of what I see. I’m often surprised at how colourful some areas are. I love looking at the different setups between the buildings, the chutes, the rows and rows of giant spools of steel, the rails and cars transporting goods. There is so much detail in what we see below, yet much of it is hidden from view as we travel past by car.
